Vermiglio, a mountain village located at 1260 m in Val di Sole, where the movie director Maura Delpero wanted to set her film exactly entitled “Vermiglio” awarded with the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival and selected to represent Italy at the 2025 Oscar Awards, which shows mountain life during the second world war.
Vermiglio has also been named a 'bee-friendly town' because the air is pure and free of contaminants, making it an ideal place to take a deep breath and regenerate.
Vermiglio in summer
From La Stua in 10 minutes you can reach Laghetti di S. Leonardo and relax. The more adventurous can explore all the mountains around, glaciers and high peaks following the many paths throughout the territory, you can choose to go with experts such as alpine guides or medium mountain guides. You can also visit the places that were part of the events of the Great War. The nearby Passo del Tonale offers you some facilities open even in summer to easily reach the 3000 meters of the Presena Glacier, the bike park and many paths.
Vermiglio in winter
In the wonderful winter Vermiglio is covered with snow and you can practice many winter sports. At the lakes of S. Leonardo you can find a snow park for children, a skating rink and marked trails for snowshoeing, a beautiful cross-country ski trail over 10 km long. You can easily reach the main ski resorts of Val di Sole, the Ponte di Legno - Tonale area suitable for the whole family with 100 km of slopes for all skill levels.
